Pros
You are close to C-Level employees at all parts of the day. Project transparency is clear and you learn various aspects of the industry outside of your initial role easily. Team atmosphere is good and if utilized properly, you will learn many aspects of cloud, mobile, and web development. Employees are kind and the development team I always felt could accomplish any project. Management has wide range of experience, but not specifically in the roles they currently fulfill.
Jude is certainly ethical and very intelligent in his field. You can tell his vision for the company as well as his character is top notch. This seems great, but since he is the face of the company and constantly covering down on his management's duties, face time is difficult. He is very loyal to employees that have stood by his side since the beginning, almost to a fault.
Cons
Management's expectations are literally unrealistic. Internal management conflicts cause culture problems and the opportunity to ever see a pay increase is 100% outside of reach. No benefits at all (No 401k, health, dental, and only 10 days vacation a year) and do not expect that to change. Internal communication is a joke, and overlap and confusion make up 30% of project issues. No processes, no standards, no quarterly peer or management evaluations.
Loyalty is a pro/con. If employees are underperforming be transparent with them and put them on a corrective action plan or retrain, not just expect them to be better with no change. Bad leadership in this aspect.
