Pros

– Range of clients to work on. Can have volumetric practice – Relatively independent, manage your own time – Good first step into the industry to learn the norms – Great colleagues

Cons

– Low remuneration but high work volume. Know of many colleagues managing up to 15 clients without extra remuneration on 2k-2.5k salary. – No training / courses for writers. Other than fine tuning SEO practices, there is no senior writer (nor intent to hire any senior writer role cause company leadership says no money). Talk to any writer and you know it’s all about learning by yourself. – Want to learn SEO as a writer? Expected to work 1 year before changing department to SEO side to relearn another set of skills. – Leadership made it clear that they are looking for quantity, not quality, when it comes to writing

Hi TT, Thank you for leaving us a review. You seem to have deliberately missed out the critical details in your content. As a fresh graduate with no writing experience and portfolio, it is common for your salary to be lower than your colleagues. At this stage, we can only offer you an opportunity to kick-start your writing career and build up your experience and portfolio. However, the salary range you have indicated is highly inaccurate for our experienced writers. Given the flexibility of the writers to work from home, there has to be some form of measurement in place. An individual's output is measured and compared against the performance of our team of writers. As you are aware, your performance was dropping every month. During the last 3 months of your employment, your output was below 50% of the team average. Hence, the company will not be able to perform any pay adjustment until an improvement is seen. Managing "up to 15 clients" is common for an agency’s writer as we are focusing on shorter content updates. Each article word count is about 500 words. Additionally, the job opening clearly states that it is for an SEO Content Writer role. Hence, the training will be focused on SEO writing. Regarding your other point of Quality vs Quantity, I think you are deeply mistaken. By quality, we are referring to the fact that we are an agency focused on SEO-optimising content, and we are not looking for long-form content that requires days of research, this is the quality content portion that we are referring to. Once again, we thank you for your feedback. We can see that you have moved on to a reputable branding and communication company. This has always been one of our goals to help fresh graduates build up their writing experience and portfolio so that they are closer to landing their desired roles and being able to work for their dream companies. We wish you the very best for your future writing career.

Pros

The team culture at the peer level is excellent. Colleagues are highly collaborative, always willing to teach, and provide great support to new joiners. The workload is also very reasonable and manageable.

Cons

However, The primary issue with the workload stems from the executive level. The CEO sets often disrupts workflows. The CEO’s management style is highly problematic. Rather than supporting the team, he tends to shift blame onto others whenever issues arise. The CEO’s communication style significantly impacts morale; he tends to adopt a condescending tone when providing guidance, which discourages open dialogue and makes staff feel undervalued. The atmosphere is incredibly tense; the CEO rarely accepts feedback and seems willing to let people go at a moment's notice. Think twice before joining.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate that you highlighted our excellent team culture, strong peer collaboration, supportive nature toward new joiners, and manageable workloads. At Impossible Marketing, we believe a company's culture flows from the top down — starting with the CEO and management team, extending to our team leaders, senior staff, and ultimately every member of the organisation. An excellent culture and a well-managed, balanced workload do not happen by accident; they are the direct result of deliberate leadership choices and the structure set by our executive team to prioritize work-life balance. To address the specific concerns raised: - On workflow disruption: As a digital agency of about 30 people, our CEO actively oversees operations. This hands-on approach is precisely what keeps workflows healthy and ensures the manageable workloads you recognized as a positive. - On accountability and support: Our core philosophy is that no team member gets abandoned. When client complaints arise, our management team steps in immediately to protect and assist our staff - including handling tough replies, meeting with clients directly, or even parting ways with a client entirely if they are not a good fit. - On the office atmosphere: Describing the environment as 'incredibly tense' stands in direct contradiction to your feedback that the team is highly collaborative, welcoming to new joiners, and maintains a reasonable workload. These positive traits cannot thrive in a toxic atmosphere. - On accepting feedback: Decisions regarding company direction involve factors that may not always be visible outside of the core management team. However, we remain committed to open dialogue. We take all feedback as an opportunity to review our processes. If you are a former employee and wish to discuss these points further, we invite you to reach out to our HR team directly.

Everything, Run like a dictatorship, all good reviews you see are because the CEO asks you to write reviews within your probation period. He also tried to sue people for leaving a bad review on here.

We have filed a police report (Ref: A/20260603/7037) regarding this matter because the review contains several serious allegations which we believe to be false. Investigations are currently ongoing. At Impossible Marketing, we take integrity and professionalism seriously. We would like to clarify the following: 1. We do not operate under a dictatorial management style. In fact, many of our employees have been with us for more than two years, reflecting the supportive and collaborative culture we strive to build. 2. Employees are not required to submit reviews during their probation period. Any reviews posted by employees are entirely voluntary. 3. We have not taken legal action against any employee simply for leaving a negative review on Glassdoor. 4. We fully comply with all CPF obligations as required under Singapore law. The allegation that management complains about paying CPF contributions is untrue. We respect the right of current and former employees to share genuine feedback and constructive criticism. However, allegations presented as facts must be truthful and supported by evidence. We remain committed to maintaining a fair, respectful, and transparent workplace for all employees. We will continue to take the necessary steps to protect the reputation of our staff, management team, and company against false and misleading statements.
