Pros

When first started the DOR was fair and concerned that all taxpayers performing the same business should pay the same amount of taxes. Now we are REQUIRED to bring in so much money, encouraged to overlook refunds and in general to make an audit a money making event. This is grossly unfair to taxpayers and creates economic inequity. Have passed legislation that now allows the DOR to audit amended returns for two years longer than the original statute. The appeals process is now a joke. Taxpayers can not win on this level and must file in court (a big expense) to go to thee next level. However, if you acutally do that, nearly alwayws the DOR will settle your issue. What this means is thos small companies who issues are too small or do not have the resources to hire an attorney just loose. But if you are a big company, you can get your issue adjudicated. Beware small businesses.

Cons

Taxpayer's no longer have respect for auditors as they know the auditors are just looking for money.

Pros

-Events with food and drinks for employees

Cons

-There are no SOPs given for software. Just just a job aid (cheat sheet) is used -Software is confusing for entering information -training is not effective -Team leads treat you like idiots if you ask questions and do not provide you with correct information . For example team leads do not know to key in a form 4852 which is a substitute form when an employer does not provide an employee with a copy of their w2 or w2c or a bank does not provide a 1099 R. They did not know how to enter information into the system. But we are criticized and talked by other tax analysts in the office. -The metric are unrealistic. You are only given two weeks. -They will not give you any feedback on what is need to improve and will let you go at anytime. -They team leaders and management will talk about you when you mess up. -We were told there was a possibility of a laptop to be given for remote work. The laptop
