Huge layoffs of talent - Again - Project Manager Infineon Technologies Employee Review

Pros

Long time workers are replaced by "best cost" workers in other countries. The focus is on US and other higher cost labor countries. Cheaper workers means less losses of profit for the company.

Cons

Infineon is banking on far less experienced new workers and assume they can quickky perform to the same level as long time experienced laid off employees. This has already failed at this company recently, yet it is being repeated, and customers, internal and external know this. It will be years before new hired trainees know what they are doing and longer if the company is to perform as well as it did years ago. The company feels like a sinking ship and employees not laid off are looking elsewhere. Nobody wants to work for a company that has clearly demonstrated it does not value its employees.
