Pros

Season work can e sniffed at by peers and employers. However, now that you need EU passports to work in Europe the roles have got more serious and professional. The experience and training is valuable and can be taken forward into other roles - no longer just learning skills of working while hungover which is often the perception of seasonal work!

Cons

Sometimes a misbalance between UK and permanent staff and their value to seasonal workers - despite seasonal workers being the face of the company they can be slightly undervalued.

Pros

Working for Hotelplan comes with so many advantages that it’s hard to know where to begin. They offer an excellent package that includes travel, accommodation, and meals during working hours. The provided accommodation is a excellent perk, especially since accommodation in resort is quite expensive, They offer lots career opportunities and development, I started as a restaurant supervisor during my first season and was promoted to Assistant Hotel Manager for my second season and was given the opportunity to step into the Hotel Manager role for the last few months of the season, I also work with the UK office during the summer months. They offer good discounts on lift passes for staff that give you access to some of the most amazing ski runs. Beyond work, the experience is deeply rewarding socially—you build close-knit friendships and really feel like part of a family throughout the season I made some friends for lie. There is great work-life balance the hours are pretty good and you get the opportunity to ski on most days between or after shifts. They also offer positions in numerous stunning resorts, giving you the chance to work in some of the most beautiful locations in the world. Working for Hotelplan was one of the best experiences of my life. I absolutely loved every moment. Although life has taken me in a different direction since then, I would work for them again in a heartbeat. I wholeheartedly recommend doing a season with Inghams to anyone looking for a rewarding, adventurous, and life-changing experience.

Cons

Transfer days can be long, especially during bad weather, but considering it’s just one long day out of seven, it’s manageable. Living in shared staff housing can also present challenges, particularly if you value privacy or quiet time.
