Pros

Inman is a fast-paced and growing company, with a collaborative work environment. It's exciting to be part of a company that operates similar to a startup by staying agile, focusing on growth, being open to new ideas and instilling a sense of ownership with employee contributions. Everyone that works here is incredibly smart and always willing to help a colleague. Management has always been supportive and open to new ideas and suggestions. The COO encourages and maintains open dialogue with all the employees on a regular basis, as well as answers any questions (anonymous or not) during weekly all-hands meetings. The company sets clear goals for each department at the beginning of the year and every quarter which helps you zero in on the most important initiatives to focus on. Inman continues to show a lot of growth opportunities in our business and for the employees. Everyone works from home. The flexibility and time savings of working remotely is a really great benefit of working at Inman.

Cons

Inman is a small team doing big and many things (all at once)! The team doesn't seem to be growing at the same rate as we're adding new products and events so there are times where it can get overwhelming. For some, working from home might lead to working more hours or on the weekends. Depends on how each individual person manage their personal work-life balance. Being a fully distributed team also makes it challenging to get to know the rest of your colleagues that you don't work directly with on a daily basis.

Pros

Employees at Inman are hardworking, professional, and very team-oriented. There is a culture of camaraderie to make the reader and event attendee experience the best that it can be. There is a lot of opportunity to bring creative ideas and suggestions into your role. Brainstorming and strategizing on how we can innovate and improve is always encouraged. Having the opportunity to work with the best and brightest in the real estate industry.

Cons

Workload can feel a little hectic in the weeks leading up to a big event, which is to be expected in any industry at any company. Leadership acknowledges this and gives employees a chance to recuperate which is appreciated. Remote work can be challenging at times. It's always good to see team members in-person at the events.

Pros

Flexibility with schedule, collaboration between writers and editors despite being remote, enjoy reporting on real estate industry

Cons

Don’t feel as connected to other teams at company, would like more opportunities to cover industry events in-person, and it would be nice to have an annual stipend that enables employees to get extra training/education for their role
