Pros
Working environment warehouse people time
Cons
The current leadership at the plant level is creating a toxic environment. The CFO, Marshall Meyers, acts as the Plant Manager but lacks the people skills required for the role. There is a complete lack of appreciation for long-term staff; instead of being thanked for hitting monthly goals, we see a focus only on bonuses. Communication is non-existent unless goals are met, at which point the atmosphere feels forced. Furthermore, there has been a concerning trend of letting go of experienced, "legacy" workers in favor of a constant rotation of temp agency staff. Requiring skilled employees to perform janitorial duties despite having a maintenance staff on hand is also a major blow to morale. Advice to Management: The Costa family needs to look closely at the turnover rate and the current management style of Marshall Meyers. The "people-first" culture that made this company great is being replaced by a "numbers-only" approach that is driving away good talent.
