Pros

The patient care team in its entirety from day center staff to therapists, social workers to nurses are exceptional. They work tirelessly to make sure the participants are cared for and they look out for/help each other in a way I’ve yet to see in a multi-disciplinary setting. General celebratory culture - your coworkers will celebrate EVERYTHING and it is a beautiful thing.

Cons

The rehab department in each of the centers has a collection of degrees including masters, doctorates, and a pre-requisite bachelors (all therapists have this at MINIMUM). Despite this, they are being ruled (and I say ruled intentionally..) by someone with only a bachelors degree (no post-graduate education) in a discipline that is not even remotely related to physical, occupational, or speech therapy. There is something inherently wrong with this picture and with the heirarchy in this company. Part of the culture of the center (as mentioned above) includes our spending 5 minutes to decorate a coworkers desk who has been on vacation to celebrate their return. This same 'executive' as previously mentioned thought this small gesture unimportant and decided that if we could do this, we could spend 90 minutes out treating ONE participant (thereby ignoring my other 174 for those 90 minutes). Setting aside the flawed logic of this decision, it is clear that the impact those 5 minutes make for employee retention is lost on upper management (we are all replaceable after all).. We were promised a loan forgiveness program to be initiated when the company went for profit, which never happened (I waited 2 years for this to occur before parting with the company.) Despite each of the centers only having a loose grasp on policies and procedures within the company (understandable since they change often), expansion continues - opening new centers across the country and enrolling FAR too many participants each month. This makes providing care extremely difficult as we are CONSTANTLY playing catch-up. Upon my exit from InnovAge, I had 175 participants on my caseload (and growing) with no signs of additional therapists being approved for hire.

Pros

Most particapants treat us with kindness and respect.

Cons

Working as a driver for Innovage is not worth it, the pay is not fair for the required work that is involved with this position and addition to the new job title From Driver to Driver Particapant Care. The companies pay raises is a joke and a slap in the face, has a very high turnover rate which results to being low staffed and way too much overtime with little life balance. We have way too many vehicle mechanical issues with no onsite mechanics to fix them, They treat us like kids, too much drama and gossip, lots of favortism extremley poor communication which result to employee and particapants unsatisfied. There is just far too much negatives about this company and I unfortunately can't recommend this job to anyone and it's not worth your time.
