Things I wish I knew before joining: Contracts come and go, and when they go, they do huge layoffs. This is a recurring pattern now. The project leads are stretched thin, visibly stressed, and do not care about the skill development of their engineers, just deliveries. Tech leads are rude and will absolutely complain and blame team members for any problems. You can either not get any guidance, or get a negative feedback in your performance review because you asked too many questions of senior engineers. Their agile process is nonexistant, they dont follow any SDLC standards. Organization and coordination within teams is chaotic at best. Communication is severely silo'd. You can be working one team on tuesday and by wednesday you've been immediately swapped to another team, often using a totally different tech stack, because that is what management wants and the budget dictates. Onboarding for new devs is a nightmare. No documentation to speak of, anywhere.
