The main issue is targeting talent. Many strong recruiters are often not given the chance to advance to Account Management because Senior level brass say "they dont fit what we are looking for". In IGI terms, that means you are not a Barbie Girl or not Johnny Salesman. Oftentimes appointed office sales managers are very inexperienced, most were strong on-the-rise salespeople pushed to management with no proven leadership qualities, lacking the ability to motivate team members and get junior staff to trust upper level employees.
