Pros

It’s great to work on the product with a positive impact. However, company’s internal culture is a far cry from what is supposed to stand for – kindness towards ourselves.

Cons

The product and the company itself seems to be driven by completely opposite values. New employees are given two months probation period and half of them wouldn’t make it. The reasons? Hard to tell... You won’t receive much feedback. No one gets the chance to improve, you are simply fired. Once you last longer you can expect lots of micromanagement. It’s definitely a CEO-centered company where people are afraid to have an opinion. The whole company works in a very waterfall style, investing months into developing projects that haven’t been properly validated or tested.

Pros

Really lovely coworkers. An incredible product that users love and which is changing lives.

Cons

Not too many. At times seems a little bit slow-moving for a startup.

Pros

Only company that has recipricated the effort, dedication and sweat equity I put into it on equal level. This is not an easy feat to accomplish as my devotion to my choosen field of work is exceptionally high. It's very much a group of people that mirror that ideals of its chief. High character, talented and compassionate people that have no time for politics and "I above you" attitudes. This results in a working environment of trust and empowerment with the result being progress at speeds that can only exist when done this way and with no compromise to your core values. As a company it practices (internally) what it preaches (externally).

Cons

It would be difficult for anyone to come from any other situation to this at first. It is unlike anything else I've experienced in the last almost two decades of working in support and cs. We define ourselves by what we have done and how we did it. To work successfully at Insight Timer you need to let go of how you did things before and in some cases how you think they should be done. The speed of change can be difficult to keep up with when you are not somewhat involved in it either directly or tangentially but this is acknowledged, understood and is continuing to improve.
