I keep meeting many candidates in the interview processes, who wish to leave their companies. When I ask them "Why" they tell me: "There is not much work in the company, we are made to sit free many a times", now this is a vicious circle. A company like ours who always makes work available to its employees, can not unnecessarily hire extra manpower to increase head count and then make them starve for the work like many others. I think an average working of 10 hrs, out of which in general people do not return from lunch in less then 45 min, is not a stretch at all. More so, when you have 5 days week and Saturdays, Sundays are maintained to be religiously off for past many years.
Paying salaries on 10th (it was never 15th), is now revised to 7th. We can pretty well make it 1st or even last day of previous month. Again, constraints as an employer. If we pay it on 1st, that gives more chances to employees to abscond and get away without serving a proper notice to the company, hampering their projects
