Pros
I worked for IITS for over 9 years. The environment felt like a family business even though the company grew from 20 to 60 during the 9 years at IITS. Great culture, the management team (including the CEO) was always available and open to ideas and suggestions. Their regular training program was great for the technical staff to grow into senior level. The variation of the technologies that we had to deal with helped me to also learn about all aspects of IT services and offerings.
The job can get very intense due to the nature of IT. We were all ready to jump and help out when the customers needed support day, night or weekends. I appreciated my peers and miss most of them.
I left because I felt it's time to move on to a larger organization. My training and experience at IIT have helped me to succeed in my new job.
Cons
At times the workload could be too much to handle. IIT does lots of acquisitions and while it's exciting to grow quickly, it could be challenging to quickly click with the new staff and get to know the new customers. Being on-call for a few weeks each year was never fun but bearable and I always welcomed the additional OT revenue.
