EVERYTHING ABOUT THE PREVIOUS REVIEW TITLED:”Do not work for Fin and accounting” is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH!!!! I will second everything that other review has stated in the fact that certain managers keep the revolving door in accounting/finance a secret. I am not even aware if the Executive over Finance cares that his one sole responsibility is failing the company. You don’t even get to see the executive over the department, you are stuck day in and day out with the same incompetent executives on the finance floor. They want the accounting department to be a public company environment so badly, they look down upon taking emergencies unless it’s PTO you are using for sure. So forget about sick kids…did you put in a sick notice to take off for a random sickness in advance?! Exactly, ridiculous!! I was warned when I first started if I would have just paid attention to the 4 people that had 2wk notices out in the same week I started…so it was a lot of “nice to meet you, but good luck on your future” type of environment. When I was hired I was told that there was a fast track to management program that you can take. Turns out INTEGRITY, you can’t promise that to everyone that comes through the door then you are left with many senior accountants looking for promotions when non of management if giving away their positions and “manager” is essentially just a title given to retrain over and over the offshore what to do. Offshore is completely clueless an have no apparent accounting background so you are literally teaching accounting basics 101 to middle school level of learning. This is what you sign up for in the accounting dept. Run!
