Pros
You will get a good hourly rate and sponsorship for a TS clearance. You will also be around all kinds of State Department people and can build up a network if you are willing. Only work here if you want your TS.
Cons
One of the most poorly managed companies I have worked for. I am a full time employee but since I have not worked for 9 months I am still on probation. Because of this, you expect to average about 10-20 hours a week as a full time employee. I have currently not been scheduled for the last month and continue to not be scheduled despite pleading for hours. Be ready for an endless list of pointless rules that serve to only keep control and authority over officers eg: you cannot wear gloves or beanie unless it is below 45 degree. You will get sent home if you don’t have black socks. You will get written up for talking too much to officers on another post and my favorite, you can get written up for crossing your legs while standing. You will not even incur PTO until after your 9 months probation is over.
