Pros

Flexible to me for working from home if I needed to go to Dr. or family appointments, let me work from parents home the week before my vacaction so my trip home could be two weeks, wrote me letters for house purchase. Nice people. Some projects are fun & different.

Cons

too much work, too many hats, client work can get boring sometimes.

Pros

Intertech has a very simple policy: If you work hard, show motivation and the willingness to improve yourself and learn, then you will be rewarded...many times handsomely. Intertech believes that an employee who improves themselves also improves the company in the process. I believe in that 100% I've also never worked for a company that had such a diverse amount of people working for them. Intertech gives people from all over the world a chance at a great career and for many, a starting place in the job market. Management is also understanding about the need for time with your family. If you need to work from home occasionally or need to leave for an appointment, they will gladly let you. Like any other company, if you do not live up to the job requirements, you won't last. Like any smaller company, you can't hide behind a cubicle if you are not a good worker. But if you are a great worker, you will stand out and be noted.

Cons

Pros

My direct manager (senior graphic designer) was fantastic. LOVED her. There were some gems at this company, but they all got axed during the recession... Quality of the work and the crap in-house CMS went down (you get what you pay for, guys)... Pizza Friday was great, but so boring after 2 years... Carol, the office manager, is awesome. Happy hour with the group was always fun. Still is!

Cons

CHEAP CEO. SO SO SO cheap. Stuffing extra-small cubicles into every square inch of the office space (including the reception area), while keeping a HUGE office to himself... I once went on vacation for a week, and when I came back my desk had been given away to a new hire. I was forced to work in the "Map Room"... a large, practically empty, temperature-controlled room that the CEO keeps his collection of maps in (his other business is Mapsage)... It was January and I was freezing... After a few weeks I refused to work in the office again until they could provide me a desk. I worked at home for two months. It was wonderful for me, but I was embarrassed for ITM. Very long hours, and often I'd get to work and the doors would be locked... I'd have to sit and work on my computer (my PERSONAL computer, because they didn't provide me with one) until someone showed up to let me in.
