Pros
I enjoyed basically making my own schedule. I enjoyed the clients. I enjoyed the work/life balance. I enjoyed the weekly pay. Everything is done over the phone, clocking in and out, charting, etc. It's very convenient. Company provides PPE such as gloves, masks, and sanitizers. Employee referral program. AVA rewards program to earn gift cards or Interim gear.
Cons
I definitely don't agree with the pay rates. Especially for long term employees like me who have 11+ years experience in the field, as well as nursing school experience and was recognized several times for my dedication, commitment, and quality of care. After Covid, I begged for over a year for a raise. Once I finally got one, I found out they were still offering new hires more. The communication is just awful. That seems to be a common complaint. Lots of mistakes, miscommunication, and confusion. No benefits unless you're consistently full time.
