Pros

If you're able to stick here for a year, you'll be able to have enough on your resume to get another Validation job with decent pay if that's something you're interested in. Update your LinkedIn profile!

Cons

Low pay Overtime (weekends, nights) 4 sick days a year that expire each year Your experience will be heavily dependent on who else happens to be working in the department at the time. A lot of knowledge is inherited by word of mouth, so if you're with all newcomers (as is likely the case with the high turnover rate), good luck. Company is filled with outdated technology and poor management which make seemingly simple projects needlessly complicated. If you care about the quality of your work and have the ability to think about what you're doing, you will question your ethical values every time you have to write a deviation report. You'll learn to do what you have to to get by and try to protect yourself as much as possible in an industry that is only about profit. If all you care about it is career goals and maximum salary, then this is an okay place to start if you don't have a good enough resume to get a job anywhere else and are willing to take a hit for a couple years while building up your resume. If you have any other values, then working here will definitely make you question whether this is a good industry to work in.
