Pros

used to be good place to work

Cons

everything changed in 2024 when CEO became a tyrant lots of complaints, made no difference big egos in charge who don't care about employees at all we are all exchangable owners are really not good people pay is really low and work is really extreme expected to work extra hours, and you are watched every minute you are clocked to make sure you are at your desk for some even at lunch its time to go

Pros

Total freedom to do what you want and where you want. No corporate BS and the splits are much better. This is a very entrepreneurial office and creativity is second only to integrity.

Cons

No research department but that info is readily available elsewhere.

Pros

Office in central (downtown) location, other departments are well-thought out and organized (investments, operations), brand redesign and overhaul allowed for cohesive messaging and look / feel, I think the founders are generally good people that like most business owners haven't figured it out yet but are trying to be better leaders

Cons

Two years to get a 4% raise despite consistently hitting performance requests because they had no defined career path for the position or department, benefits are standard- 401k introduced in Q4 2021 with no employer match, education reimbursement offered in initial benefit package later was reduced and became $750.00 reimbursement if they deemed the course aligned with your role (I was denied for a certification class that was directly aligned with my role), seems they just hired an in house marketer with no path forward and no consideration to their growth, mental health or company contribution- the role was isolated, high demanding and often forgotten, at one point didn't have a manager for 3months, no direct report that offered role expansion, plans or communication for most of the two years I was there. After two years of working with Intersection exiting the role was extremely traumatizing and unjust, including a direct report that lost control of their emotions and yelled using inappropriate language due to my notice which they deemed too short (although a male counterpart did in less time and was celebrated for his next chapter), having me spend my last days training a non-marketing virtual assistant on my entire skillset to show how little they valued the position leaving the VA stressed and confused, no executive leadership wrote back to my departing email despite it being a small boutique office proving how little they acknowledged in my time there. Possibly the most upsetting was the environment and culture that offered little diversity and inclusion, the employee demographic in the brokerage department was not an inclusive space for BIPOC; In my two years there I constantly heard racial and social micro-aggressions that were often met with laughter from one of the founders. I actually refused to bring my partner to company events as they are a person of color and the risk of being met with a racially charged joke would be high.
