1. Senior management have no idea what they are doing. They keep changing their plans every 6 months once they realise they don't know what they are doing. There is more money than sense unfortunately. 2. Too many opinions which leads to so much confusion (reinforcing point 1). 3. It's surprisingly flat structure with the c level stakeholders but senior management have a self imposed hierarchy. 4. Used to be a great environment but went downhill quickly over the years and just keeps getting worse (enhanced by point 1)! 5. No career progression so if you want to more than you're hired to do, forget it. 6. I was too quick to write point 5, there is career progression if you are in a certain circle and friends with the right people. In this instance yo don't even need credentials for job because you're guaranteed a promotion (leading to point 1). 7. You are not recognised or appreciated for achievements or delivering a project on time (if you're not one of the people in point 6). 8. If you're not working overtime you're not meeting expectations (even if you are delivering on time). 9. No empowerment to try new things or give your opinion (because senior management feel threatened) and if you do come up with an idea that they love, it's guaranteed that someone more senior will take credit for it so don't bother. 10. HR doesn't exist so don't waste your time, They don't take complaints seriously and people don't get disciplined. 11. They don't know how to get rid of people who are just there for a pay check. Even incompetent people are kept on (I guess this is also a pro if you're incompetent). 12. There is a lot of micromanagement. 13. Poor people management; scrap that! Terrible people management. Very high turnover rate (they are too busy with point 12). All the good people are leaving (see point 11).
