Pros

The technology is ok, with roots in respected legacy products. It seems like the org is trying to grow the product/platform, so that is a plus. A handful of ICs and mid-level managers genuinely care and try to do right by customers and teammates. The TA team works incredibly hard to create a polished external image, but it is facade to a crumbling structure. Like an old English country-side manor who's occupants can no longer afford the upkeep. There’s potential here, but it’s being squandered.

Cons

The outward appearance of a positive culture is mostly manufactured by the efforts of the talent acquisition team. Internally, it’s a different story. Since the CRO was promoted, (in no small part to a personal connection with the new President), the company has continued to spiral. He fosters a culture where disagreement is seen as disloyalty, and feedback is shut down rather than addressed. The sales strategy changes constantly, performance expectations are unrealistic, and people are micromanaged out the door. The sales group at large is relatively leaderless, and could benefit from some personnel who would be able to hit water if they fell out of a boat. The private equity liaisons make things worse by constantly interfering, second-guessing leadership, and pushing metrics without context or vision. It’s a top-down culture of fear, instability, and optics over substance.
