For what should be an honourary role within our community, the powers at be taint this service. - Funeral Director InvoCare Employee Review

Pros

Being a part of the most intimate and dear moments of people's lives 💟 *the ones that did right by their animals* That was an honour. And that is what was real. You may also meet some incredible human beings whom you serve alongside. To survive in this company your crewmates become your support network, your sounding board and your alley. Lean on them (selectively) and offer your support right back wherever you can. We're all treading water in the same 'pool' after all.

Cons

Leadership. A complete revamp would be required for any chance of doing right by the community, our animals and the team supporting them. Sadly the current powers at be have none of the attributes (care factor) that earns the title of a true leader. They have lots of pretty words to front as one, but there is no substance or authenticity behind them. They put on a show for each other, but one on one you will see through it. Support will be flaunted in public meetings. You will ask for support and be denied or ignored. They will consistently overstep your boundaries and disguise orders 'as a choice' out of manipulation. They will blame shift by creating a false narrative around your intellect and integrity, instead of taking accountability. In the service of laying to rest our loved ones, that essence doesn't belong here. The focus needs to be brought back to the 'why'. Why we're all here in the first place. Not how much $$ you can get from those who are in mourning. Not how much you can withdraw from your team in overtime and mistreatment before they burn out.

Pros

If you are in the clique - you are great, The submissive conditioning is next level. You get a very minimal discount for certain family members dying. You also get your birthday off - after 12 months of employment.

Cons

If you have any health problems or anything personal happen and it might ever affect work - this is not the place for you if you run out of leave. I had the displeasure of watching multiple people being bullied through "circumstantial" work flows created by mid level managers as a form of punishment for you not falling in line or doing as you are told and always disguised as best for the customer. You will be supported at face value and is heavily dependant on how much you carry your manager. Please do not work here, your wellbeing is worth so much more than a baseline award pay check that you need to feel rewarded about receiving.
