Pros

Decent pay and people. Good office location.

Cons

Double standards for employees and management. Pre covid managers could WFH but for employees it had to be mitigating circumstances. Projects were not managed correctly, tickets were added ad hoc throughout sprints, then we'd be scrutinised as to why we didn't reach sprint goals. No software architect to design systems properly. Having to change a major part of the data structure half way through the project, as product owner didn't know how that section of the business worked. A lot of good developers left so they've taken on loads of contractors. We were actively encouraged to borrow managers Land Rovers or Jaguars but when people tried to book them, they said they were 'busy' and cars couldn't be borrowed. I overheard a Level 5 manager say that a candidate should be hired because 'we need more women in the office'.

Pros

- Amazing work culture and work life balance - As a designer the world is your oyster of how you want to grow and develop - Manager is amazing at communicating your needs and empathizing with you - Everyone is driven to be a better designer and so much support from everyone

Cons

- Having to work sometimes really early or nighttime due to time zone differences with some of the people we work with - Projects & goals sometimes have to change in the week to better fit business needs and team goals.

Pros

Great work life balance Supportive environment

Cons

If you fall in the less than 3 years experience bucket, your best shot is the new graduate positions which have terrible pay and full-time employment after 2-years is not guaranteed.
