Pros
- Great way to break into the insurance industry
- Good for supplemental income
- Good for challenging yourself and gaining experience in insurance
- They offer full-time roles
- You’re able to choose how you want to work
- Fully remote in the field
- Pay is calculated daily and payment usually goes out the next day
- You get to do work for many different carriers
Overall, its a good company, I reccomend for anybody starting in insurance and underwriting support.
Cons
- Putting 3k+ miles a month on your vehicle to make a livable wage if you’re working full time
- Pay can be low if you don’t negotiate your rates (understandable at first while building experience)
- Depending on pay, the driving doesn’t always make financial sense
- Virtually no support in the field — you have to figure things out yourself
- Some territories in the South can be dangerous: threats, aggressive dogs, difficult terrain, no signal, app issues, wrong addresses, wrong contact info, etc.
- Limited growth opportunities
- Often doing more work than you’re being paid for, especially on commercial inspections
- Commercial inspections can sometimes be difficult to schedule
