Pros

Large company. Cool commercials. Lots of offices. Well known. Many different types of departments and areas. Match 401k up to 5%! Subsidizes health insurance, but the plan choices are not very good.

Cons

Average benefits. Cost cutting. Hard to advance. Hard to use job listing/search. Constant layoffs. Poor job security used as an excuse to overload workers. Could be better from a legal/compliance standpoint.

Pros

Great benefits, access to management, great place to work overall, you gain a lot of experience and insight in the financial industry since you get to work directly with clients and the advisors, a great percentage of clients are business owners so you get to know their business and learn a lot from them, is performance based so you can make good money and jump to a different role, if the company doesn't give you the chance you'll have enough experience to go somewhere else. I was happy during my time there, good people and gained great knowledge.

Cons

They change the commission structure about every year and enrollment for clients on some tools that makes no sense for certain type of clients, I wish they'd take into consideration the demographic you're in to decide the target for different products.

Pros

They treat people well overall. It's all about connecting to others to get anything done, so if you're great with networking and maintaining connections it's a good place to work. Honestly the kindest layoff I've ever experienced, including genuine internal support to find another job. Still doing meaningful DOI work, including some of the best friendly benefits out there.

Cons

If you don't have a highly specialized cyber security skill set or work at a main campus in Texas, Ohio, Delaware, New York or New Jersey don't expect to ever move up the ladder. Staying focused on goals OR successfully communicating strategy pivots seems to be beyond most MDs in Global Technology. They seem to be having a re-org problem at the moment. I had 5 managers in the last 365 days I was there, hardly time to get any work done and then challenged at the end to show impact or delivery, all you can do is shrug and say 'tell me how, when you moved me every 2 months?"
