Pros

- Opportunity to work with multiple clients at once and build real portfolio experience. - Added strong projects to my experience. - I genuinely enjoyed the colleagues I interacted with and appreciated the chance to learn alongside them.

Cons

- The company operates as a single-person organization, but communication is often framed as “we,” which can create confusion around roles and decision-making. - HR communication was never really encouraged, which can make it difficult to raise concerns confidentially. - Compensation is below market expectations for the workload and responsibilities. - Work-life balance is inconsistent; weekend communication and unpaid work were expected many times. - The working environment is informal and based out of a residential apartment building rather than a traditional office space. - Interns are relied on for significant operational tasks without clear boundaries around expectations or paid support. - Creative contributions may not always be credited clearly, and it can sometimes be difficult to understand where ideas originated or who owns final decisions. - Feedback sometimes focuses on assigning blame rather than collaborative problem-solving, which impacts team morale.

Pros

I think this is a really great first internship. They expect a lot but they're always willing to help and there's never any backlash when you don't get things on the first try. They're really nice and always open to meeting with you. They're very flexible with your schedule. You'll definitely meet people in the local community which is great for someone like me who tends to be more reserved and even better if you're a social butterfly. This really is one of those "The more you put in, the more you get out" types of internships.

Cons

JV does a lot of things (music, wellness, lifestyle) and this position is definitely more focused on lifestyle. You won't be working on anything music related really but you'll still learn a lot and gain office skills. (I did attend one music event but the majority of my work did not involve music at all. I'm not sure if this is a con but I just want people to know what to expect.) There's really no other cons, in my opinion. (Except not being paid but that's to be expected)
