Pros
Excellent offices (if a bit crowded now) Pool table, Foosball, table tennis Excellent peers from whom you can learn so much Mid-level managers are typically very technically competent and have been involved with the company for many years, so their understanding of the products is fantastic Good, flexible working hours (8-4, 9-5, 10-6) with an hour's lunch break W/L balance usually good, though extra hours expected from time to time Good potential to develop in your field Very Good grasp of Agile development Personal training budget
Cons
CEO is too personally involved in the day-to-day and takes many things personally CEO gets excited about new ideas and policies and they then quietly fall by the way-side There is a clique formed of "Old guard" staff which make progression difficult Poor salary, many of my former colleagues left to take up similar positions with significantly increased pay Requests for increased salary are usually declined, we're told we should be working to fulfill ourselves and not for money As previously stated, the opportunities to advance within the company are small
