Working at JARC has been an incredible journey of professional and personal growth. I love that we’re often doing trainings on a variety of topics like trauma-informed care, implicit bias, etc. Also, JARC offers professional growth opportunities, and it’s very flexible with PTO. I love working at JARC because I can see the real impact we’re having on our community. Our team is made up of exceptional and wonderful human beings.

I think capacity is one of the biggest cons of JARC, as are many other nonprofits. However, everyone is always trying to do their best to prioritize their tasks.

An incredible organization with a far-reaching impact. Team is professional, kind, and diverse. This is a unionized workplace. Great leadership. Lots of opportunities for professional development and upward mobility. Has an HR director who does an excellent job.

JARC is aggressively growing throughout Chicago and the country, and this comes with growing pains, as one would expect. If you don't like a changing or shifting environment, this workplace might not be the best fit. However, flexible people who are willing to take on new challenges while being supported by supervisors and colleagues will thrive at JARC.
