Pros
The majority of the employees are talented, hard-working, motivated, loyal and resilient. The employees under the CEO are the pillars of Japonesque and the true success to the profitability of the company but, the cons outweigh the PROS by far. There is room for advancement depending on your performance or loyalty to the CEO.
Cons
The majority of the cons come from the (I use the word loosely) leader 'aka' CEO. The company is an expression of their manic behavior and emotional instability. The CEO is epitome of someone who does not appreciate what they have and tries to portray an image (posting spiritual quotes on their social media) that is not authentic to how they treat their team. There is no support for working cohesively, building relationships, and communicating like mature human beings. Any sign of team work would spark an insecurity in the CEO which in turn cause them to pit employee against employee and create unnecessary drama by fabricating stories in an attempt to create distrust amongst the team. There is no in house human resource department so there is not a proper way to deal with any issues. Every now and then the CEO would try to bring the team together for warm fuzzy sessions just to turn around the next day and be the center of negativity and drama again. Inappropriate and unheeded conversations initiated by the CEO to 'chummy' up with the employees discussing their intimate affairs with multiple partners, 'close calls with terminal illnesses (completely unfounded) and discussions about family drama on work time. Training is informal and unstructured, you are need to either sink or swim, which makes for stronger employees but, also an extreme number of turnovers. Multiple empty promises from the CEO of advancement or updating systems that are outdated and technically challenged. I understand the need to continue to bring business in but, there is no mastery in the company in regards to projects or production since there is no time to complete things thoroughly due to the revolving priority lists that change daily.
