Pros

-nice colleagues - good benefits

Cons

Jellycat is a very chaotic place with no support and training because everyone is busy. If something goes wrong they just blame it on the individuals, rather than being accountable for not providing enough training and guidance. Training is the responsibility of the company after al and the contract stipulates „in house training“. When new products or processes start there isn’t enough training and then chaos is the result. There are no important updates from managers about changes or anything happening that might impact your work throughout the day. Often you receive conflicting information. Just go and figure yourself. When you are fairly new there they just throw you into very busy live contact with customers rather than managing this process and letting you have a bit less when you start off. It gets so busy it can be overwhelming. Management gossiping about the team when you start as a sort of an introduction to the job and the company. Non transparent office politics. Monthly salary is really low as well although they pay a good bonus, but a company with these profits could look better after their employees especially in a city like London. Plus what they expect for this kind of salary is a bit out of proportion. Anyone who’s different or who thinks differently is not welcome.

Pros

Good pay, good PTO, (mostly) nice employees

Cons

I had high hopes when joining this company. I quickly learned that there was little to no communication or support from UK to US teams. Nearly all US based MN employees are bitter and scorned creating a toxic work environment. I was let go with absolutely no warning and without any legitimate explanation. As a matter of fact, I had positive reviews almost up until the day I was let go. Makes me wonder what sort of people I was dealing with all along. In the long run, it was probably a blessing as this brand will undoubtedly meet the same fate as beanie babies.
