Pros

They offer flexibility when they can afford to be flexible.

Cons

Company just did a surprise mass layoff terming top notch employees, while keeping others that cost less and only do a fraction of the work. They pride themselves on transparency, but this recent event was sadistic. We have spent months being gaslit and manipulated into believing the company was thriving while other companies were facing financial hardship. They boasted and bragged about it to us quite frequently. Our leaders posted to social media about our hiring frenzy describing the great opportunities Jerry has to offer. The pay is subpar at best! They expect their lower level and mid-level employees to be all hands on deck all of the time. Treating us as if we are chameleons adapting to new environments on their ever-changing work wheel. They will give you a description of what you are hired for, but once you accept you are expected to take on responsibilities well outside of ones wheelhouse. I feel for our team leads as they are doing the work of an agent, a supervisor, and a manager with very little assistance or direction. Our executives say "jump" and they have to say "how high?" Watching this mismanagement has been disheartening, but I can appreciate the resilience of our team leads through adversity. If this sounds exciting to you, I'd say join the team! If they hire again, that is.

Pros

Working as a Software Engineer at Jerry.ai honestly feels like being in a constant sprint with some of the sharpest minds I’ve met. The dev culture here is wild, people think fast, build fast, and expect results that actually matter. You’re given full ownership of your projects, from design to deployment, and it’s super satisfying seeing your code go live within days. The engineering problems are legit interesting too we’re talking large-scale optimization, performance tuning, and automation challenges that push you to think beyond just syntax. I really vibe with the “figure it out, ship it, and iterate” mindset. It’s high-energy, collaborative, and full of those late-night “wait, that actually worked?” moments.

Cons

If you’re someone who values crystal-clear direction and structured workflows like me, Jerry.ai might feel a bit overwhelming at times. The company’s still scaling, so processes can feel rough around the edges and sometimes documentation lags behind features, and it’s easy to get lost juggling multiple priorities. Communication across teams can get tricky too, especially when everyone’s moving a mile a minute. You learn to sync fast and over-communicate, but it takes a bit of adjusting. Also, because expectations are high, imposter syndrome can sneak in when you’re surrounded by brilliant people. But if you take it as motivation instead of pressure, you’ll grow faster than anywhere else.
