Management and all office workers back on full salaries since December 2021 while pilots are earning less than 50% of original contracted salaries until at least June 2022. Pilot base salaries below 50% of pre-covid salaries for more than 18 months and to continue until at least end of June 2022 this having forced many pilots to have to do secondary jobs much to the risk of jeopardizing safety when having flying duties. All other monetary benefits still on hold until at least end of June 2022. More than 35% of total pilot group still furloughed with little to no guidance on when they might return to work even though there is not enough aircraft to support the entire pilot group- only 7 aircraft remain in Singapore which require approx 70 pilots while the total pilot group count approx 120 pilots. Management expected to force new lower paid permanent contracts into effect for all pilots and all negotiations about contract terms are happening at executive level without any pilot group involvement. Management seem unwilling to accept pilots unionizing. Despite the current lower utilization of the aircraft, management has decided that night flights are still reasonable and sensible to operate while the added stressors is wholly on the crew who must operate such unwanted flights- known detrimental end of duty timings are 0400am and 0800am while having reported well before midnight. The management is using maximum internal propaganda efforts through monthly and weekly newsletters as well as occasional video broadcasts in an attempt to indicate that the workers are happy and that it is a functional business however the morale has never been lower and most pilots are just waiting for opportunities to leave the company.
