Let me tell you, I worked at Jewel-Osco throughout the pandemic. The company had made record sales during that time. I know this because corporate had rewarded the managers of my store with dinner at some Italian spot. Probably came with some monetary bonus as well. But the rest of us who worked didn't get a single cent raise. I was making $10.50 during the pandemic and Jewel-Osco was actually bold enough to call us "Heroes." Yeah, remember when some businesses would have signs that'd say "Heroes work here"? I've since left the company, but please tell me, Jewel-Osco, do you still underpay your employees and call them "Heroes" to make them feel better about themselves? So yeah, Jewel-Osco is a greedy company that takes advantage of its employees, which includes both the elderly and disabled.
