Pros
*Most* franchise owners of JJ's have a very lucrative bonus program based upon managers hitting established monthly goals, and they pay upwards of 25% of store profit to the management team for hitting these goals. The company still seems to be growing like crazy, and it can be a very fun atmosphere to work in, with big potential rewards. The sky is the limit in the right situation.
Cons
One of JJ's mottos I've heard since day one is, "We work hard, and we play hard." Totally true. But don't take lightly the WORK HARD portion of that motto. It can be long, hard hours to do it right, and be as successful as you want to be financially. Not for the faint of heart. If you're someone who wants regularly schedule break times, etc...this probably isn't what you're looking for. JJ's also is maniacal about their systems. Everything from daily procedures to dress code, there isn't much room to implement your own creative ideas in the workplace here. But -- they've designed a great blueprint to easily follow, and if you can buy in to doing everything as they have it detailed, you can reach greater success much quicker. While I think many (including myself at times) would consider this attention to detail a "CON," it really helps accomplish what it is intended to -- create the same customer experience no matter what JJ you set foot in.
