Pros

- Jisc rewards - Mental health/dentist benefits - Coworkers/line management were nice - Remote/Work from Home - Friday afternoon development - Biannual reviews on pay rises -Principal/Heads of are seemingly trying to implement changes

Cons

- Don't want to implement policies they have - Recently removed working from abroad - Want managers to do more than what they're paid for - Poor pay grades and they'll do anything to not upgrade you or be slow about it - No praises unless it's your team/manager - A senior higher up doesn't seem to care if you're employed by them or not which isn't a good look! - Not a lot of room for progression - A little untrustworthy when it comes to giving out permission to access things that devs will need every day - Behind on the usage of AI - Codebase is so old, it's easily 20+ years old and no time given to update

Thank you for taking the time to post a review – its always nice to hear from people who have enjoyed their time at Jisc. We are working hard to provide our people with more opportunity to mix with each other and share ideas. Things like our annual company conferences will help with these. I appreciate we don’t always pay the highest salaries, but we have some great benefits that we’re really proud of such as our pension scheme, Christmas closure in addition to holidays, flexible working and employee discount schemes.
