Pros
Good pay and good people who care about their work. They try to make it nice. Strong, established brands. Benefits are good.
Cons
A very dry, boring place to work in all senses. The culture is very old school and upper management is very set in their ways. Not a lot of growth opportunities from within if any. Team dynamics are often non existent. Executive leadership and management are extremely out of touch, stale, and most likely never around. Their teams suffer as a result. There is no diversity and not a lot of work being done to make efforts to fix that. It’s just another large company run by a wealthy family and a slew of boomers who are out of touch with what the incoming workforce wants. If you’re looking for a place to just grab a paycheck it’s fine. Just fine. But if you’re looking for a satisfying place to work that offers growth opportunities while doing meaningful work with a strong sense of team….avoid at all costs. It’s a huge stretch to group this company within the outdoor industry. While it’s good for some, but there are better places.
