Pros
In my experience working with Jollyes is as good as you make it just like it is with most retail stores. You work with animals on a husbandry basis as you won't get much time to "play" or "handle" the animals due to the busy. The team are amazing, all very knowledgeable and hard working which makes the job much easier for everyone. Head office, or atleast the few I have had to contact have been pleasant & understanding. We rarely have vacancies due to the desirability of working in the store, those that leave are usually for new job opportunities with better pay. The best thing, personally, about Jollyes is our community vibe & the care we have for our animals. We are able to do & give whatever we feel necessary for the animals, and are not "afraid" of vet bills when needed. Head office never question the upkeep costs of the animals and are always pushing that we keep them to a high welfare standard and as I'm passionate about animal welfare I find that very impressive. If you have a real passion for animals, don't mind customers & enjoy hard work I believe you would enjoy working with jollyes. As Jollyes are my first place of employment, they have set the standard and I am satisfied with my treatment.
Cons
I have very few cons, if any, however there are a few things I would like to see change. I'd personally like a bit more freedom in how the animal enclosures are set up, in regards to making it a bit more exciting but that's only a personal request as I would enjoy doing it. As of now the set ups are completely fine, easy to clean & provide everything the animals need. I would add that the odd few customers can put you down a bit, but that can be said in any retail store. Generally speaking, due to the compatibility of our staff team & the good atmosphere we give I have nothing to complain about.
