Pros
Most of the support staff is high quality
Cons
This firm is packed full of captains with very few crew. The few partners who seem genuinely invested in the future of the firm and willing to put in footwork towards positive change have yet to reach critical mass needed to effect those very necessary changes. The Diversity Statement is just that - a statement. This firm is incredibly homogenous. You know that "everyone who could have become an attorney became one" mindset that prevails at certain firms? Definitely featured here. Would you like to be hired for one job and then show up to find out you're doing something completely different? How about have four legal assistants in two years? Hear things like "We could put that policy in writing so you'd have it, but then we could just rewrite it, then couldn't we?" when you question what an actual policy is (they were working on the company/employee handbook for YEARS and the staff had absolutely no direction in the meantime). How about a senior partner showing up for picnics in a shirt that says "I identify as vaccinated"? Unlimited PTO for attorneys, but you can't take it. VERY limited PTO and holidays for staff, extremely small bonuses. An office manager who either thinks you are swamped or should be doing 10 times more - all in the same week and all for the same job. Then come to Jordan Ramis and have all your dream fulfilled and more!
