Pros
The office is in a good location, close to downtown and very easy to get to. REI is right across the street. But this job does make you go to the Eastside at least once or twice a week.
Cons
Where to begin? You're given a project, but there are so many factors working against you that it's impossible to do anything worthwhile. The deadline determines everything, and you do what you can. Your client is not someone you work with, but someone you work for. Do what your told, don't advise or consult. Despite management stating that we're supposed to be thought leaders we get buried in one-dimensional, time-consuming tasks. Communication is a weakness, and the amount of confusion is astounding. Account teams think one thing is going on and clients expect something else. Then you're left in the middle trying to explain what happened. Management does not have your back and has never demonstrated an ability to handle workflow or to assign appropriate resources. The same planning is repeated over and over again, but nothing is ever executed. It always seems to be back to the drawing board.
