Cons

No major cons, I left due to a relocation and the business tried to support my relocation with opening an office.

Pros

Small company, so Management were very hands on Very good recruiters in a niche market They live their company motto - The difference is, we care

Cons

Although I loved my time at KDR, towards the end of my employment often left lacking in work, and had to ask for things to do - not sure if this was because my role wasn't fully developed yet, or due to a general lack in movement in the market at that time. The atmosphere became a little toxic due to certain members of staff who left just before I did - however I believe this has gotten much better now. There was no progression for my role due to the size of the company at the time.

Pros

Industry leaders in their sector. Great team. Wicked office. Very knowledgable of the Data / Analytics space. Motivated and helpful marketing/operations team.

Cons

Far too many KPI's. 6pm is the earliest you can finish. Everyone knows you have to work late in recruitment however sometimes getting out at 5 or 5:30 pm makes a big difference to people's personal lives. Whilst I was there it seemed the company was experiencing growing pains. Too many ideas that seem great on paper but don't see anything through, this really isn't fair on the people you employ to do these jobs. Huge gap between management and recruiters / trainee's.

Thanks for your constructive review. We strive for excellence and are regularly canvassing the team for ideas on how to improve, so average feedback such as yours is a great learning experience for us. While I take on board all of your comments, I felt it important to point out a discrepancy in your comment on our working hours. We operate 3 shifts for all recruiters and team leaders on our UK teams. These are designed to accommodate personal lifestyle preferences, including an early shift where you can finish at 5.00 pm, 4.00 pm on a Friday and even as early as 2.00 if all KPI targets are hit. Some people prefer to start and finish later and we can accommodate this too. As far as your point about promoting from within, I wholeheartedly agree, and I am delighted when people hit their objectives and we are able to promote them. In fact over the last 12 months we have promoted 12 people internally and continue to have a structured career development plan for all functions within the business. I also agree with you wholeheartedly that we operate a number of KPIs in the business. All businesses operate to KPIs, and we set KPIs that are tailored to each individual and are geared to help them achieve their objectives. This is based on many years of seeing individuals achieve success through achieving their KPIs. As individuals prove their success from working to more rigid KPIs we encourage more freedom and expect people to set their own targets, but this has to be earned through demonstrating success. We will continue to explore new markets and will hire accordingly when required. Some of the initiatives will succeed, some will sadly fail, but we will always do everything in our power to give every initiative the best chance of succeeding.
