Management knew next to nothing about how to run a shift. I once had to instruct a upper level manager on several simple jobs. They left everything up to the lower level workers. I had a manager make racist and hypocritical comments about my hair and appearance. Another manager humiliated me in front of students and staff.
Many of the works fought constantly and the morale was extraordinarily low. One time two workers got into a screaming match in front of students. Many of the employees would slack off or literally hide from their work leaving the rest of us to pick up the slack. I had to report one individual several times for disappearing for long stretches of time to get out of work. The management did nothing about this but a slap on the wrist and a poorly mediated meeting between this individual and me.
The people in the office were incredibly rude and racist as well.
I witnessed several instances where whole groups of employees would use slurs when referring to trans or non-binary students, as well as minorities.
The pay was far too low for the kind of work expected for this job. They also were not forthcoming in the interview about what sort of job was to be done and what shifts you would be working.
