Kasa spent the latest round of funding really fast, and have started quietly laying people off while not calling it layoffs and pretending it's not happening. Probably so investors don't get freaked out. Company travel is banned through the end of the year.
The entire recruiting team got fired even after being promised that their jobs were safe. Some people got called in under the guise of it being reviews season, and then they got fired going into what they thought was their annual evaluation. It's sneaky and awful.
I'm shocked to have lost my job with no history of write ups or any kind of corrections or problems. There is no loyalty here. The flashy offices are using up resources and the top 5 or 6 people in command are still making a ton of money despite not hitting their numbers. The whole situation sucks.
