Thanks for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your clients and colleagues. We selfishly agree that we have the best of both! We're sorry to hear, though, that you think employee value and salary standards are poor. We certainly value our employees! We are in the business of client services, and you can't do that without people. We continue to focus on the employee experience and offer new benefits because we want every employee to feel valued, heard and motivated. We're also committed to continuously ensuring our pay is competitive in the association space, but we must do so in line with our budget. We will continue to invest in our employees as we grow.

Pros

As someone in communications, this job was a dream for variety and hands-on experience. I got to work across multiple trade associations and industries, which meant every day was different—and never boring. Sitting at board meetings with Fortune 500 reps was an incredible opportunity to see how big decisions happen and make real connections. The work pushed me creatively and strategically, and I loved getting to collaborate with smart, passionate people while learning the ins and outs of so many different sectors.

Cons

One downside is that promotions didn’t always match talent or creativity. Some of the most skilled, innovative, or outspoken team members didn’t necessarily move up as quickly, while people who played it safe and fit a more “vanilla” mold tended to get promoted faster. It could be a bit frustrating at times, but if you’re motivated by the work itself and the experience you gain, there’s still a lot to learn and accomplish.

Pros

You will learn one decent lesson here. How sharing resources with other employees can ruin the workplace ambiance. After that, you won't ever join a workplace with limited resources.

Cons

The work pressure was terribly high. The expectations were ridiculous and became insane with time. It stressed most employees and kept them on edge most of the time. Another pain point was the awful policy of sharing resources. It created an unhealthy competition among colleagues, and people started playing awful mind games to prove that they deserved more than the others. It was depressing. Slowly, the ambiance became so toxic that I started lying to skip work. When I realized that things wouldn't improve, I quit this horrible job. I didn't have another offer at the time, but I was ready to stay unemployed rather than work here. It should tell you something.
