Pros
The actual position of case manager is simple. Not a lot of responsibility, not a lot of thought is needed. It’s an EASY position, especially if you’re looking to add additional income to you home. The compensation is phenomenal for what they are expecting.
Cons
The training is horrific. You sit through hour(s) long zoom sessions and are expected to remember everything that’s said or refer back to said (3hr zoom) as a reference tool instead of asking questions. Team Leads should not be training or leading. A few of them get extra frustrated if they have to answer questions. They say their too busy or may give you a pop quiz if they feel in that moment the case manager is unprepared. It’s a little bizarre. Expect to learn on the fly, use common sense and pass by emails and calls you are unsure about. There is a fear among the new team that if you want to double check on a procedure it means your not using critical thinking and you’ll be flagged.
