Pros
Before Flax Group bought Kelly Moore it wasn't the best of jobs but it was a place to work with fellow like-minded people. The company was employee-owned and we had a say in a few things. We were working towards yearly raises and overall morale (at least in my store) was somewhat happy. Now I know this company had problems before we were sold but nothing compared to how it was before we closed.
Cons
Not sure which Flax appointed Charles in charge, but they should reflect on how in a year he drove this company straight to the ground. Hopefully, he never be the CEO of another company again!! It's amazing he “managed” to get dressed put his big boy shoes on and go to work. He was probably met at the bus stop each day where they removed his helmet and walked the little guy home. We are jobless because of him. Kelly Moore has closed their doors because of him and the direction that he took us. His “I don't care what you think” attitude could be seen in our “Town Hall” meetings. I guess better benefits and pay were meant when we found a new job because our store was closed. Anyone looking to work for Kelly Moore better keep looking because there is no telling how much longer the remaining stores will stay open. We couldn't keep products consistently on the shelves, we had sales flyers with products that we couldn't get because of not being in production. We were told the raw material issue was fixed - that was an obvious lie. When asked when we were getting certain products back, no one ever knew for sure. We HAD a bonus program that didn't last long. Raises were talked about but little if any were given. We are still waiting on the payout from the rest of our ESOP. Any current or prior store employees reading this, hopefully things get better for you..
