Pros
The people are so friendly, and the working environment is great - lots of natural light in modern offices in a fantastic location. There are many opportunities to learn different aspects of the job with different supervisors and exposure to clients is from day one. The firm is ambitious and growing and appears to be trying to keep a small firm culture as it gets bigger. For example there is no competitive billing between fee earners which makes you feel more part of the same team. There are very high levels of energy about the office and a great deal of positivity. The house groups, Friday drinks trolley, weekly firm-wide morning meetings and annual retreat helps to break down barriers and makes it a very social place to work.
Cons
Working for several different supervisors can be challenging as each has their own style of working, but you soon learn substance from style. Also working in an open plan environment can be tricky if you get easily distracted. However some people use headphones or earplugs or utilise the quiet pods that are available.
