Pros
-Fair financial benefits -Car scheme is tantamount to being given a free car because of the allowances that come with it. -Easy working environment, no bosses looking over your shoulder
Cons
- Poor work ethic -Integrity of workers is low. Cases of staff colluding to steal either from the company or customers are quite common. -Conflict of interest cases where managers own the same contract companies that win tenders. -Promotions are not merit based. Easy to have a boss who is clueless about the work. In that sense hard work never really pays. -Nepotism and unmerited favours. -No opportunities for professional growth or innovation. Engineers do the same thing for years on end, just waiting for promotions that never come. - Common to find staff members who are not passionate about their work, having switched off because of the aforementioned factors. These workers would clock in late and leave after a few hours to attend to personal matters. -A great percentage of staff are unqualified for their jobs, having been hired through dubious means. They possess no documents to prove their qualifications or they forged these documents.
