Pros
I’ve worked in a number of healthcare organizations over 20+ years of being an RN. Kettering overall is for sure one of the better ones. It’s not without issues of course, but my pay is at the top of the market, there are effective systems in place across the different sites and it’s generally safer than many places I’ve worked. I go to Ketttering facilities for my own care now and reccomend it to family and friends as well. The cost of insurance was reasonable.
Cons
Like every hospital system, there are pockets of ineffective and out of touch leadership. With a new CEO in place there have been changes that not everyone loved (some hospitals are no longer trauma centers, closure of a freestanding ED) but I imagine those were tough financial decisions to keep the organization in the black.
