Pros

Kickbyte honed my skills to manage complex projects and challenging stakeholders, that helped develop stronger project management skills. The management is genuinely supportive of professional growth, creating a safe environment where asking questions and feedback is encouraged without judgment. The collaborative team culture ensures everyone is ready to help and share knowledge.

Cons

The highly technical projects create a steep learning curve, especially when dealing with challenging stakeholders. However, with the supportive management and collaborative team, it no longer feels overwhelming.

Pros

Above and beyond support both professionally and mentally. If you need flexibility in hours as long as you give a heads up Kickbyte is very accommodating and considerate of their employee's situations and needs. Tons of opportunity and encouragement for exploration and career growth. Not in the annoying 'time to fight about why this is a bad idea for the umpteenth time', but always open to the discussion of what new tools can we explore to make lives easier and solve any real problems or points of friction. Very supportive of providing materials and opportunities for anything anyone wants to learn for their own professional growth, and great at providing constructive feedback. A tight team of smart people all very welcoming -- it honestly feels like working with a bunch of friends.

Cons

It's a small team and you are expected to be able to manage yourself a little bit and take ownership/responsibility of your tasks since you'll mainly be working on your own. If you're stuck or have a question, its up to you to reach out to the rest of the team. I don't consider any of this a con, but know it's not a preference for some.

Pros

The projects are interesting and there’s always something new. You’re not stuck doing the same thing over and over. Training and skill development are encouraged: official courses, regular knowledge sharing team sessions, and time for investigations and experiments. And the best part is the culture and team. You never feel like you're on your own, people are open and always ready to help each other. Here I understood what actual teamwork can look like - and the best results can be achieved only in that way.

Cons

Sometimes a lot is happening at once, you need to be able to switch fast between projects, but that also keeps things interesting. Strong company policy about work/life balance made me lazy. Earlier I worked 12 h / 6 days a week and thought it was ok, but in Kickbyte I felt what work/life balance actually means, and I don't want to work the way I used to anymore.
