Pros

One hour for lunch 20 days PTO (however can't take two weeks at a time) Cake for your birthday Employee discount of 40% of wholesale Free stuff every now and then

Cons

Rampant emotional abuse in the workplace High turnover (150% per year) No raises (or HARD to get one) Can't take two weeks of vacation at a time No respect for employees time No boundaries Very few people in the company have influence Disorganized The environment at Kim Seybert is toxic. The owner is manipulative and her attitude is she owns you and your time between the hours of 9 and 6. She'll expect you to do anything and everything from your actual job function, to running errands, to taking care of her dog. I offer extra caution to anyone under the age of 35, because the owner has made it a point to repeatedly vent her frustration about working with millennials. I wish I had read Glassdoor reviews before I accepted this position. Do not take the job at Kim Seybert if your workplace values are autonomy, flexibility, organization, respect for boundaries, and vision for your growth in the company.

Pros

I have worked at Kim Seybert for more than 10 years, and reading some of the negative reviews honestly made me feel disappointed because they do not reflect the experience I have had during my time here. I joined the company as a recent college graduate with very limited real-world experience. Over the years, I have grown into an upper-level management role and have had opportunities that I likely would not have received so early in my career at a much larger organization. Looking back, I am grateful for the trust and responsibility that were given to me along the way. One of the things I appreciate most is that my learning was never limited to my own department. Working in a small business environment allowed me to gain exposure to finance, operations, logistics, inventory management, sales, customer service, HR, technology, and strategic planning. This broader understanding of how a business operates has been invaluable to my professional development and is something that would have been difficult to gain in a highly specialized corporate environment. Another aspect that differs from some of the reviews is management style. In my experience, I have never felt micromanaged. I have been trusted to make decisions, solve problems, take ownership of projects, and manage my responsibilities independently. Leadership has always been accessible when support was needed, but I have generally been given the freedom to do my job and contribute ideas. Like any company, especially a small and growing business, there are always areas that can improve. Processes evolve, priorities change, and challenges arise. However, over the years I have seen management invest in new systems, improve operations, listen to employee feedback, and adapt as the business grows. The products are beautiful, the brand has a strong reputation, and the people genuinely care about the company. Many employees stay for years, which I believe says a lot about the culture and work environment. After more than a decade with Kim Seybert, I can honestly say that the company has played a significant role in both my professional and personal growth. It has given me opportunities to learn, take on new challenges, and build a career far beyond what I imagined when I first joined as a recent graduate.

Pros

Beautifully crafted products, something you're genuinely proud to be associated with. The culture is entrepreneurial at its core. If you're self-motivated, fast-moving, and hungry to make an impact, this is the place for you. Ideas are welcomed, ownership is encouraged, and you're given the opportunity to actually execute. The pace is fast, but that's what makes it exciting — there's never a dull moment. For anyone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to grow both professionally and personally, this company offers incredible opportunities.

Cons

Its a fast pace environment which means you need to be organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities. The learning curve can be steep at first, but the team is supportive and it pushes you to grow quickly.
